Maizie's Fashion

Maizie dresses similar to this everyday. Travis always tries to convince her to wear something a bit more conventional - however she loves her outfits. Today it is a flower tunic with a large bow, a pink plaid skirt with bows on it as well, and green brown and pink striped leggings.
AWESOME!!

Picnic on the Bluff

It's been great weather so we took the kids to the bluff above our beach to have a picnic. It was a great view!
Jack took this picture of me as you can see his shadow :) Travis relaxing on the blanket.
Beau being way too close to the edge!
We decided to walk down to the water - where we always end up anyway!
I love the beach!!

Great weather and great family time!

Great Christmas Fun!!

My bro Lucas got to join us for the Christmas holiday which was awesome! He's a medic in the army and has been in Iraq forever. He got back to his base in Germany in November - just in time to fly here to hang with us!
On Christmas Eve the kids & Luke decorated Christmas cookies for Santa. I was more of a taste tester for this activity - someone's gotta do quality control.
Christmas morning, in following with our Wade family tradition, Travis read the story of Christ's birth before opening presents.
Beau loves to see what everyone else got too!
Maizie trying to open up her new dolly from Grammy & Grandpa!
Jack being super excited about being signed up for Little League by Pappy!! YEY!
Beau's also stoked about the Soccer classes that Pappy got him!
Travis did a crazy amazing job on these Christmas cinnamon rolls. It was quite unexpected really! He followed a Paula Dean recipe that he found and so we all had to get a angioplasty shortly following breakfast - but it was so worth it! Best 3000 calories I've ever had!!
Jack & Beau rocking out at RockBand 2 that Uncle Lucas got us! Since he knew Santa was bringing a Wii. :)
The kids' table!
All of us "grown-ups" eating our yummy Christmas dinner of prime rib and other stuff!
Yes, this is the best pic we could get of all of us together! We had an awesome Christmas and felt tremendously blessed, especially having my brother here after not seeing him in a couple years. It was wonderful!

Jack's 1st Grade Thanksgiving Show!

Jack's teacher had the kids do a great little Thanksgiving show for the parents in the classroom. Jack was a pilgrim and he did a great job despite his extreme stage fright!
It was great that the teacher included a pastor saying, "Praise the Lord!" in the presentation. The pilgrims talked about how they wanted to worship God and that's why they came to America. Great christian teacher in our public school!! Maizie enjoying the show & the pumpkin pie & juice!
Jack loved having us in his classroom.
The teacher had all the students serve their parents pumpkin pie & juice. Jack liked being able to wait on us! I LOVE FIRST GRADE!

Way behind in the blogging!!! Maizie's 4th Birthday!!

Maizie turned 4 right after thanksgiving. We had our neighbors over and Aunt Tiff & Uncle John. I ended up working on her birthday (BLACK FRIDAY!!) so we did cake and ice cream pretty late..7:30ish which is way late for our crew.

She got this awesome new trike from my parents, her Grammy & Grandpa. She loves it and rides it alllll the time. In the pic above she has her animals on the back.

We have great friends that live across the street. Miss Virginia and her two girls got this princess bear for Maizie from Build A Bear Workshop which she adores. Since the time she got it she has also received another cinderella dress & tiara for her. The bear's name is...you guessed it Cinderella.

She had a great time opening all of her wonderful presents. Her Aunt Tiffani got her a hair dryer, curling iron, hair straightener set that gets used on her dollies and animals and daddy.

I baked this cake before I left for work and Travis & the kids decorated it before the party. This Belle decoration was given to Maizie 6 months ago and she has been keeping it safely hidden to use on her cake!
Maizie is growing up so fast! She is in a great preK here in Long Beach and loves it tremendously. She loves talking about princesses, playing with princesses and being a princess. She dresses herself everyday and it is mostly in a hippie/beauty queen/preppy/ballerina style. I love her style, it's great. I need to create some photo montage of a week in Maizie style so you can all appreciate it!! She has been a blessing to us in her 4 years thus far!
