We arrived in Rifle, CO on the 7th and stayed with Steve & Lindsay Zimmer. It was so nice to hang out with them and their family. On the 8th we spent the day in Glenwood Springs! We spent 2 1/2 hours in the hot springs pool and it was AWESOME!! I thought it would be too cold for the kids but they enjoyed themselves fully and had no knowledge of the cold weather.
We walked around Glenwood Springs for a while after we swam and it was so pretty and COLD!

DOn't you just love Glenwood?! So much fun & can you believe how huge the hot springs are? we spent many fun winter days there as well as summer days too, growing up! Oddly, summertime is almost better cuz you're not so freezing cold when you get out of the water, plus there's the tanning factor! But...there is a great ambiance to the springs with mist all around, your head freezing cold, snow falling, meanwhile your body is all warm & toasty in the hot springs! Fun times! Next time let's meet there!!
Summer would have definitely been awesomer (that should be a word)! We should rendezvous there sometime - super fun!
