I'd like to think I love animals however this is something that I will never get used to. This snake creeps me out! I sooo wish I was cooler and I was ok with this!

Beau actually DOES love all animals and luckily for him his dad shares that passion and convinced me this snake was a necessity for any boy training to be a man. Whatever.

So are cornsnakes supposed to be good pets? I don't know...snakes might be better than what we might have coming here one day. Everest wants a tarantula. Eep!
Ewww I don't know about tarantulas either Dianna!! You would totally be the best mom ever. Cornsnakes are great pets for little boys because they are NOT aggressive whatsoever and even if they bite you they don't hurt at all. The bummer about cornsnakes (that would be a plus about tarantulas) is that you have to feed them live mice and it is quite traumatizing to watch the kill. But Beau thinks it's the coolest thing ever - future psycho? maybe!
Nita there is a lock on the cage so there's no way that snake is doing any sneak getaway! I told Beau that if the snake gets out I'd just hit it with a shoe - I wouldn't be able to rescue it so it better not ever get out!
Hmm...that sounds promising, but EW. LIVE MICE? I don't think Everest would be into that. He gets really sad every time we find a dead mouse that the cat has killed.
That's funny what you told Beau about if the snake gets out. Nice ultimatum!
