He is almost finished with what I thought was his first chapter book (went into his class & saw "Charlotte's Web" on his desk), "James & The Giant Peach". This was given to him as a gift from his Uncle Lucas at Christmas. He has loved this book and comes to me after reading and says, "Can you believe this?" It's pretty funny. Does anyone have any suggestions of chapter books for boys that are good for his little heart?

The Phantom Tollbooth by Norton Juster is a classic and really good for elementary-age kids. It has a lot of plays on words and numbers. Very fun indeed.
Thanks for the recommendation - we'll definitely check it out.
